About Me
- Bio
Jennifer Terrasi holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and has worked in an array of positions in the laboratory and research field. During her tenure at Massachusetts General Hospital, she worked as a Medical Technician on Diabetes Research, Chemistry, Toxicology, and Thyroid/Endocrine panels for clinical and research patients. From there, she went on to work for the Harvard Partners Center for Genetics and Genomics performing genetic testing for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy panels as well as other genetic testing panels. She helped develop a pharmacogenomic assay targeting patient’s warfarin dosing based on an individual’s genotype. Recently, Jennifer has worked at a start-up company, Hemosonics, in Virginia aiding in developing a faster and more efficient point-of-care instrument to help monitor clotting and bleeding disorders during surgeries. Jennifer is coming to the end of finishing her Masters Degree in Science in Applied Nutrition with a specialization in Nutrition Education from Northeastern University. In her free time, she spends her time gardening, reading, and enjoying quality time with her two children and husband in Virginia.
