Among the numerous studies of cinnamon and type 2 diabetes is one double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in which individuals were given either placebo, 120 mg of cinnamon supplement, or 360 mg daily for three months. At the end of the study period, fasting blood glucose levels were significantly lower among individuals in the two groups who took cinnamon when compared with placebo.
