Fairfax County Takes Pandemic Flu Preparedness Message To Small Businesses

Fairfax County will present the seminar "Keeping Your Business Healthy: Strategies for Small Businesses During an Influenza Pandemic" to small businesses throughout Fairfax County in May and June in a series of presentations at Board of Supervisors district offices.

The seminar will focus on the latest pandemic flu information and the significance of building a plan to continue business operations when a flu pandemic happens. Experts from the Fairfax County Health Department will offer presentations and resources to help business owners develop a pandemic flu preparedness plan.

"The economic health of Fairfax County is dependent on the personal health and well-being of the owners and employees of the businesses located here," said Gerald E. Connolly, chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. "It is important that business owners understand the significant impact that a flu pandemic could have on local commerce."
