According to Dr. Oz, science is showing that you can fight fat with fat by following a new type of diet that will help you become slimmer by summer. But that’s not all. There’s a new special fiber supplement available that will help you fit into your bathing suit that removes 500 fat calories a day from your body.

“Today, a revolutionary idea—I am going to show you how you can get your fat to eat itself away,” says Dr. Oz as he tells viewers that one way to get rid of fat is to eat the right kinds of fat. According to Dr. Oz the mistake people are making today is trying to diet by avoiding all kinds of fats by eating only foods that are labeled as “low fat.” However, as it turns out, not all fats contribute to the fat around your waist and in fact, some help remove belly fat.

“I’m talking about taking a complete shift in how you think about dieting,” says Dr. Oz. “It’s about eating the right fats and not getting rid of the fats.”

The following is a summary of what kinds of fats you should be eating, plus a fiber supplement that can remove 500 fat calories a day from your body:

Slimming Fat #1: MUFAs

MUFA stands for monounsaturated fatty acid. According to Dr. Oz, the easy way to remember which fats these are is that they are fats that do not come from animals. Examples of foods that are rich sources of MUFA type non-animal fats include:

• Olives and olive oil
• Avocadoes
• Coconut oil
• Tree nuts such as almonds and almond butter
• Dark chocolate.

Dr. Oz explains that how these fats work is that they are anti-inflammatory fats that actually help the body relax inside and not go into a stress response of which the body normally reacts to by storing fat. He points out that the biggest mistake people make is heeding past advice to cook with only a teaspoon or two of oil in pan when in fact just the opposite is needed for healthy cooking—cook with more oil. Of course, just as long as the cooking is done with a healthy fat such as the MUFAs listed above.

“This is how it will help you get rid of especially that fat around your belly. It also regulates blood sugar, so it helps regulate some of those hormones that throw our body out of whack as well,” says Dr. Oz who previoiusly has explained how out of whack hormones can cause belly fat in women.

So how much oil is Dr. Oz talking about? Quite a bit—up to 50% of your daily fat calories!

“Here’s the rule for today: 50%―half of all the calories you eat in a day from fat need to be of these MUFAs,” says Dr. Oz. “I want you to add a MUFA with every single meal you eat.”

Dr. Oz recommends that to accomplish this kind of high MUFA diet you will need to eat one serving of any the following foods with each meal:

• ¼ of an avocado
• 2 tablespoons of olive oil
• 2 tablespoons of nut butter
• 10 olives
• 2 tablespoons of nuts
• ¼ cup of dark chocolate chips
