A news release from the FDA warns consumers that The Body Shot Bar is voluntarily recalling all lots distributed between March 1 to May 6 2016 of their Step 2 60 gold capsule after having tested positive for Sibutramine after sampling and testing in FDA labs. Step 2 60 gold reputedly works as an appetite suppressant, but was declared potentially unsafe by the FDA.

According to the FDA, Sibutramine is an appetite suppressant that was withdrawn from the U.S. market in October 2010 due to that it is known to substantially increase blood pressure and/or pulse rate in some patients and may present a significant risk for patients with a history of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias or stroke.

To this date the Body Shot Bar has not received any complaints or any reports of adverse events of this product used as a weight loss dietary supplement, but is acting in compliance with the FDA by issuing a voluntary recall due to the banning of Sibutramine.
