Assembly to Discuss Epilepsy at Meeting in Pontypool

Epilepsy services in South East Wales will be the topic for the next meeting of the National Assembly's South Wales East Regional Committee.

The meeting will be held at Pontypool Leisure Centre, Pontypool, from 10:00am -12:30am on Friday March 9th 2007.

The Committee, made up of Members who represent constituencies within the South Wales East region, will listen to presentations from the All Wales Epilepsy Forum; Epilepsy Clinical Nurse Specialist Erika Hillman and Dr Phil Smith, Consultant Neurologist at UHW.

The will also be an open microphone session when members of the public will have an opportunity to give their views.

Chair of the Committee Jocelyn Davies AM said "Epilepsy is a condition that affects many people throughout South East Wales. I am looking forward to hearing about the services that are available and how they can be improved. I look forward to listening to what the presenters have to tell us along with hearing the views of the public.

The meeting takes place on Friday 9th March at Pontypool Active Living Centre, Pontypool Monmouthshire from 10.00am until 12.30pm. Full details and an agenda can be found here.
