Tomato Recall of June 2008 Is FDA Salmonella Alert

The recent FDA warning is not really a Tomato recall, but rather in June 2008 McDonald's, Wal-Mart stop some tomato sales due to Salmonella risk. Some people have coined it FDA 2008 tomato recall, but there is no official report that one company has recalled tomatoes, but rather food retailers taking tomatoes out of shelves due to associated health risks.

Supreme Cuts Recalls 'Off The Cob Fresh Kernel Corn'

As a precautionary measure, Supreme Cuts LLC has announced that it is voluntarily recalling 87 cases of Off the Cob Fresh Kernel Corn in 12 oz bags. The product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail and elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
