Updated medicaid benefits database is now available.

  • "Medicaid Benefits: Online Database," Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured: The Kaiser Family Foundation'sCommission on Medicaid and the Uninsured has updated its interactiveonline Medicaid database, which contains information on programs in the50 states; Washington, D.C.; and U.S. territories. The online toolcontains Medicaid benefits survey data from 2003, 2004 and 2006 withinformation on benefits covered, limits, copayments and reimbursements(Kaiser Family Foundation release, 8/16).
  • "Children's Eligibility and Coverage: Recent Trends and a Look Ahead," Health Affairs: In the Web exclusive, economists Julie Hudson and Thomas Selden of the Center for Financing, Access and Cost Trendsat the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality use data from the1996-2005 Medical Expenditure Panel Survey to track changes inchildren's public insurance eligibility and coverage. Hudson and Seldenalso provide estimates of the characteristics, age, race/ethnicity,health status and citizenship of children who are eligible for Medicaidor SCHIP but are not enrolled. In addition, Hudson and Selden discussthe potential impact of changes to SCHIP income thresholds and estimatethe number of children who would be affected by such changes. The paperis the fourth in a Health Affairs series on SCHIP (Hudson/Selden, Health Affairs, 8/16).
