Eczema is a skin disease that causes numerous conditions, such as itchy, dry, red, flaky, and even bleeding skin. Atopic eczema is the most common type of the disease affecting 1 out 10 children.
Chinese herbs are made of five different herbs based on ancestral Chinese concoction. Herbs have shown condition improvement in a trial by Chinese University of Hong Kong, but experts warn always to consult a doctor before taking them.
Nina Goad, of the British Association of Dermatologists, said: "These early studies show that children with atopic eczema may benefit from a specific concoction of traditional Chinese herbs, which could eventually pave the way for this remedy to find its way into mainstream medicine."
