Tennesseans Call Tobacco Quitline To Kick The Habit OF Smoking

Nearly 2,000 Tennesseans have called the Tennessee Tobacco QuitLine for help to kick the habit and many are attributing their success in doing so to the new tobacco cessation program.

In observance of World No Tobacco Day, May 31, Tennessee Department of Health Commissioner Susan R. Cooper, MSN, RN is encouraging all State residents who use tobacco to call the QuitLine for free, personalized support to stop the use of the products, including cigarettes and chew tobacco. The program can be reached toll-free at 1-800-QUIT-NOW (1-800-784-8669).
