Another Disease Added To Child Immunization List

Children in licensed child care facilities are required to be immunized for an additional disease, thanks to a bill passed this year by the Legislature.


An immunization against pneumococcal (nu-mo-KOK-al) disease is now on the list required for all children attending licensed child care homes or preschools. The new requirement does not affect school-age children in kindergarten or higher grades or children attending preschool programs that are run by a school.
