Infant Mortality Prevention

City of Pontiac middle school students are participating in an innovative program that targets infant mortality prevention efforts.

Oakland County Health Division's Crib Notes curriculum educates young adults about personal care, health habits and caring for infants, siblings and other children.

The seven-week series teaches students early on about being healthy and safe. Classes include hands-on activities and discussions about topics such as making healthy choices, tobacco prevention, nutrition, infant/child and personal safety, growth and development, and more.
