Investigators have developed a new clinical prediction rule that accurately classifies pulmonary embolism patients into five categories that show increasing risk of death or other adverse outcomes, according to a new study published in the second issue of the October 2005 American Thoracic Society's American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.
