The Department of Health and Human Services confirmed a case of Neisseria meningitidis, a disease that causes bacterial meningitis in a student in Dover High School.

The Division of Public Health Services is currently investigating the case to identify those close contacts that might have been exposed who should receive prophylaxis, which consists of one pill, to stop them from showing symptoms.
