The use of medication to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is widespread but not without controversy. A panel of three doctors, Louise Becket, M.D. (Psychiatrist), Anne Cucio, M.D. (psychiatrist), and Laurie Kukas, D.O. (developmental pediatrician) will present an overview of the types of medications which have been approved for the treatment of ADHD. The doctors will discuss the symptoms of ADHD
which are responsive to the medication, factors they consider in prescribing to a given patient, and side effects of the medications which must be monitored. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
