Barnes-Jewish physician offers tips to help prevent heat related illnesses


With the temperature around 98 degrees and a heat index in triple digits, doctors are taking measures to help prevent heat-related illnesses.

"If the summer stays as hot and dry as predicted, we will see an escalating number of heat-related illnesses in the emergency department," says Joseph Primrose, MD, emergency medicine physician at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
