"Governor Rendell's commitment to improving the health of all Pennsylvanians is evidenced by his bold, new proposal: Prescription for Pennsylvania," said Dr. Johnson during a rally today at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. "Under this proposal, we plan to increase access to affordable health care coverage for all Pennsylvanians, improve the quality of care, and bring health care costs under control for employers and employees."

As part of his Pennsylvania Cares agenda, Governor Rendell proposed Prescription for Pennsylvania to develop ways that improve the quality of health care in the commonwealth; help bring costs under control for employers and employees; and encourage the creation and growth of programs that promote wellness.
