UK Supermarkets To Host GP Surgeries

British supermarket Sainsbury will host GP surgeries, so that people can meet family doctors while they do shopping.


Greater Manchester's shop will be the first supermarket to host GP (general practitioner) surgery. People will be able to make appointments as they usually do.

This is a new project by Sainsbury, which is actively enlarging during the past years. The supermarket net started selling furnishing, entertainment and clothing stuff recently. The new project comes after Government criticism on shops selling cut-price alcohol and doing nothing to fight obesity in the country.

The GP surgery project is funded by Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Primary Care Trust. It will cost
