Bioanalytical Services in Taiwan Are High-Quality, Cost-Effective Without Barriers
Quest Pharmaceutical Services has certified its Taiwan testing facility can provide U.S.- managed bioanalytical services which are of the highest quality, cost- effective and without language barriers or sample shipping difficulties.
"Our workflow is integrated so that pharmaceutical companies can manage their programs being conducted in Taiwan directly with our project management staff here on the East Coast without time zone or language barriers," says Dr. Ben Chien, President and CEO of the privately held, Delaware-based firm. "Having project management located in the U.S. also ensures that all work being done is fully compliant with U.S. standards."
The Taiwan offices and labs, located in Taipei, were first opened in 2004 and currently employ a staff of 22, with most of the scientific staff being university trained in the U.S. or Taiwan. Since 2004, it has completed more than 120 bioanalytical studies.
According to Dr. Chien, QPS has mastered the highly important logistics process for shipping clinical study samples from the U.S. and Europe to Taiwan. "It is much easier than shipping samples into labs in China," he says.
"We have the experience and the capacity that American researchers demand," Dr. Chien continues, "and we have all the needed modern equipment, from four ABI/Sciex API 4000 LC/MS/MS to thermo IEC Centra-GP8R high performance centrifuges. Of course, QPS has the capacity to continue to service our customers who prefer working directly with our U.S. facilities."
