Digital mammography has been shown to improve breast cancer detection in premenopausal women (under age 50) and in women with dense breasts. Full-field digital mammography machines can image more breast tissue with one picture, accommodate women with larger breast sizes, and is more comfortable for the patient.

General diagnostic ultrasound uses sound waves to obtain images of the inside of the body. This technology is often used to evaluate the pelvic region, abdomen, breast, groin and thyroid glands.

The Beaumont Medical Center, Rochester Hills is at 6700 N. Rochester Road. In addition to mammography and ultrasound, other on-site services include: physical therapy, radiology, dialysis, laboratory testing and pharmacy.
