New Sedona Stopping Diabetes Program
World Diabetes Day is November 14, 2007 and Lifestyle Center of America will be celebrating the successful launch of the 12-Day Stopping Diabetes Program series in Sedona, Arizona. Unlike other programs or treatments for type 2 diabetes, this program focuses on intensive lifestyle change as the foundation of success for its patients.
Dr. Stuart Seale, medical director for the Stopping Diabetes Program explains, "the approach of Lifestyle Center of America's, Stopping Diabetes Program, is to treat the underling cause of diabetes, eliminating the symptoms that are so often associated with the disease. The overriding mission of Lifestyle Center of America is to prevent, reverse, and, cure, type 2 diabetes." Dr. Seale emphasizes that type 2 diabetes is a result of poor lifestyle choices.
Conventional therapies tend to only manage the symptoms or complications of the disease. Lifestyle Center of America's, 12-day residential Stopping Diabetes Program can alleviate type 2 diabetes by helping people understand the affects of food and exercise on their body and by teaching them how to easily apply and maintain healthy lifestyle choices.
Those attending Lifestyle Center of America's, Stopping Diabetes Program, stay in deluxe accommodations at the Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa. The program includes medical, nutritional and behavioral therapy sessions, fitness evaluations and training sessions at SedonaFit, and chef-prepare cuisine and cooking demonstrations.
