Children's Vaccination

Shasta County Public Health would like to remind parents that low cost vaccinations are available for children returning to - or just starting - school.

State law requires that children's vaccination records be updated before the Kindergarten and seventh grade school years. "It's easy to forget about immunizations when there are so many other things that children need to go to school," said Scott Bray, Community Services Coordinator, "but while easy to forget, immunizations are both required and necessary to keep children healthy to go to school."

Shasta County Public Health offers low-cost vaccinations Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8-11 a.m., Monday and Wednesday from 1-4:30 p.m. and Thursday evenings from 4-6:30 p.m. In addition, Shasta County Public Health regional offices in Anderson, Burney, and the City of Shasta Lake also offer immunization clinics.

Clinic times in Anderson, 2101 Howard Street., Suite D, are on Thursday from 1-4 p.m. The Anderson Regional Office will be moving to their new location, 2889 E. Center Street, in May; the clinic hours will remain the same.
