Chatham County Holds Seasonal Flu Shot Clinics

It's time to roll up your sleeve and arm yourself against the seasonal flu. Getting vaccinated each year is one of the best ways you can avoid catching or spreading the virus.

Several Coastal Health District Health Departments will be holding flu clinics. Citizens throughout the District are encouraged to take advantage of the upcoming clinics to get their seasonal flu vaccination. No appointment is necessary for many of the clinics.

Although the seasonal flu vaccine does not protect against H1N1 influenza, seasonal flu claims around 36,000 lives every year and can be just as serious a health problem.
