Essential Winter Guide To Manchester Health Services
The season of goodwill is once again upon us but for many people it can be a worrying time if they fall ill over the holiday period.
To help people get the treatment they need at this time of year, NHS Manchester has once again produced its winter guide to local health services. The guide provides comprehensive details of a range of local health services including Christmas and New Year opening times for walk-in centres and pharmacies.
Copies of the winter guide are available free of charge from health centres, walk-in centres, GP surgeries, community pharmacies, dental surgeries, hospital Accident and Emergency departments, intermediate care centres, and libraries. The guide is also available on the PCT website at www.manchester.nhs.uk.
"Our winter guide to local health services is always well received by patients, local residents and health professionals," said Laura Roberts, Chief Executive of NHS Manchester.
"It can help people get the most appropriate treatment over the holiday period if they have a health problem. It's really important to have the information handy just in case – simply pick up a copy at your local health centre or GP surgery or access the information online."
