12 large brussel sprouts (cut in half)

3 tbsp olive oil

4 cloves garlic (minced)

2 tbsp maple syrup

Preheat oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit

Place brussel sprouts on a cookie sheet, toss with olive oil and roast in oven, periodically turning over for about 45 minutes. Skins will be dark brown and crispy. Mix the garlic and maple syrup onto the sprouts and return to the oven for about 5 more minutes. Remove from oven and serve immediately.

oh, Jen. These sound AMAZING! I mean, I'm seriously drooling right now, and tempted to go straight to the store instead of sitting here and finishing my writing for the day. ;) I will try to update you after we make these! YUM! I think I might try them on the grill tomorrow outside...it's 110+ degrees heat index here today and expected to continue for several more days...so maybe turning on the oven wouldn't be the smartest idea.
Yes, they would certainly work on the grill outside too! Let me know what you think if you do try them. They are totally different than the old boiled, boring sprouts.
