Sure taking Dad out for a steak dinner is nice but also expensive, here are some other things you can do to make him feel special during this Father's Day.

Go to church with him on Father's Day as it's Sunday. This is always a great way to start your week but especially nice on Father's day, what could be more encouraging than worshipping together with fellow believes and having your kids make you cute cards in Sunday school.

Go on a picnic, this is a fun and inexpensive lunch, pack sandwiches and small sides like carrot sticks, apples, and blueberries and don't forget water bottles.

Play at the park, this will make the kids happy and give Dad a chance to play with the kids.

Go for a walk or hike, this is one of our favorite early summer activities and all our kids love it, we look for new types of flowers and try to find animal tracks.

Go swimming, a lake is a fun and free place to go swimming or even just to dip your feet in the water.

Fix his favorite dinner, it doesn't have to be expensive just something that he really likes and serve dessert as a special treat.

Rent a movie, well not free it is still pretty cheap, just a couple bucks and you can have a new family movie to snuggle up with the kids and watch.

Give him a back rub. A little peppermint or lavender essential oil and some carrier oil make a nice fragrant massage oil. Rub his back and shoulders to help him relax.
