Prepare Deliciously Vegan Overnight Oats In 5 Easy Steps
Gone are the days of old fashioned oats made hot on cold winter's morning. Today's oats have taken a lesson from cold brew and are served up cold, in a mason jar, soaked overnight, and on-the-go. All hail overnight oats.
Bye-bye bagel and butter, hello nourishment. Overnight oats are all the rage lately. Prepped the night before and ready to eat, overnight oats are the ideal breakfast.
Vegan Overnight Oats Are More Nourishing.
Typical overnight oat recipes include dairy, but if you’re vegan you don’t have to miss out on the fun. Simply make a few non-dairy swaps, add some highly nourishing healing foods and you’ve got jacked up vegan nutrition on the go!
In a ½ pint mason jar with a lid combine the following ingredients:
- 1/4 cup organic oats, 1/2 cup coconut milk, 1/2 tablespoon coconut or cashew yogurt, ½ tsp chia seeds, and 1 tablespoon maple syrup. Cover and shake until combined.
- Remove lid and fold in frozen wild blueberries.
- Cover jar with lid.
- Refrigerate oats for 8 hours to overnight.
- In the morning top with gluten-free hemp granola, and more maple syrup if desired. Enjoy.
Feel free to adjust the amount of liquid to get the consistency you desire.
