Jimmy Sullivan and the band, Avenged Sevenfold, was founded in 1999. Sullivan, also known as "The Rev" or "The Reverend Tholomew Plague", was one of the co-founders of the band. The band was recently trying to live down their bad reputation after a gruesome video clip shot by the band for the video "A Little Piece of Heaven" - a song about mass murder and necrophilia.

Many of us have an idea of what is meant when the term "natural cause of death" is used. The term can be somewhat tricky to define. According to pathologists, "A natural death is a death that results from a natural disease process, distinct from a death that results from accident or violence." Throughout time we used to look at natural cause of death as dying from disease or of old age, it seems this no longer holds true since more and more young people are dying of natural cause of death.

There seems to be a great deal of confusion when the word natural cause of death is used when someone this young dies. It may have many Americans questioning the real cause. In fact, Scripps Howard News Service and Ohio University did a survey and found that 26 percent of Americans doubt the accuracy of the official cause of death listed on the death certificate.

The surviving members issued this statement late last night. “It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing today of Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan. Jimmy was not only one of the world's best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy's family and we hope that you will respect their privacy during this difficult time.”

Avenged Sevenfold came to Nashville back in March of 2009 along with Buck Cherry and Papa Roach. Fans are now mourning the loss of Jimmy Sullivan who has often been considered one of the best drummers of all times.
