3 Burger Recipes that will WOW Friends and Family

Saturday nights at my house when I was growing up consisted of burgers and fries because it was easy. While my grandmother was an awesome cook, her burger was just a burger, albeit made with love. It wasn’t until a friend made her family recipe that I got that mouth-watering-yes-please-I’ll-have-another effect. Since then I’ve had lots of great burgers but I want to share three burger recipes that will WOW friends and family.

#1 Parmesan burger – My daughter made these for me a couple years ago and I have to say they are probably the best burgers I’ve ever eaten and a stand-alone entrée especially for anyone on a low carb diet. In a large bowl season ground beef with Head Country seasoning, garlic and onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, an egg for each pound of meat and bread crumbs. You can substitute pork rinds if you’re doing paleo, keto, or Atkins. Add Parmesan cheese. Mix well. Form into patties and cook. Since we eyeball everything I’d say just coat the top of the meat with each seasoning. I’m pretty generous with both the garlic and the cheese. You can’t really go wrong with this recipe but since there is Worcestershire sauce you will need to keep an eye on the burgers to prevent scorching.

#2 Garlic Cinnamon Cheeseburger – Yes, you read that right. This is a recipe from a childhood friend. This recipe also uses Worcestershire sauce in the meat as well as garlic and the patties are cooked in butter. The secret ingredient is a dusting of cinnamon and a thick slice of American cheese.

#3 – Bacon Buffalo Guacamole Burger – Bison or buffalo has gained popularity over the last few years because it is higher in protein and lower in fat than beef. I like to put my crumbled bacon directly into the meat then season with Adam’s Reserve hickory smoked rub, Worcestershire sauce and black pepper before cooking. Cheddar or pepper jack cheese goes well with bison as does a dollop of fresh guacamole and caramelized onions.

Whatever your preference in a burger you might try spicing up burger night with a little variety. If you haven’t tried Head Country Seasoning or their BBQ sauce and the Adam’s Reserve line of spices and rubs maybe it’s time to start. I can guarantee you’ll cook burgers that will WOW family and friends every time you cook these delicious recipes.
