After 12 months aside from an average decrease of 10 mmHg in systolic blood pressure in the e-Counseling group in comparison with 6 mmHg in the control group, there was also a statistically significant average lowering of 4 mmHg in pulse pressure in the e-Counseling group compared to a 1.5 mmHg average reduction in the control group. The e-Counseling participants said they became attached to the characters which they saw in the video clips and this helped to give them motivation to achieve their goals for behavior change.
