Stroke Support Group
Baptist hospital offers a Stroke Support Group that is open to stroke survivors and their families and caregivers.
The stroke support group will meet on Thursday, May 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Baptist Hospital in the Gladys Stringfield Owen Education Center in classrooms A and B, located on the 21st Avenue side of the hospital. Dr. Curtis Hagenau, a neurologist at Baptist Hospital, will speak to the group.
Baptist Hospital's Stroke Support Group was developed to provide a support system for survivors in the Middle Tennessee area and provide education and awareness to the community. The group meets the third Thursday of each month. Information about the conditions which lead to stroke and the need for measures to prevent recurrent strokes will be presented at the May 17 meeting.
