Help Needed for Haiti

The word “horrific” falls short in describing the situation in Haiti. Approximately 2 million people live in the Port-au-Prince, Haiti and the surrounding areas where the earthquake struck. The American Red Cross is now estimating that 3 million people are affected by the disaster.

Supplies are short, but the aid organizations all state that currently the biggest need is money. Clothing and goods are not the preferred donations at this time. Money is.

Anyone wishing to donate or provide assistance in Haiti is asked to contact the Center for International Disaster Information (CIDI) or the William J. Clinton Foundation.

Here is a list of organizations who need your help in providing care to Haiti:

Clinton Foundation -- Donate online or Text "HAITI" to 20222 and $10 will be donated to relief efforts, charged to your cell phone bill.

American Red Cross International Response Fund – Donate
