Young Woman Achieves 120 lb Weight Loss Without Dieting and Gives These 3 Free Tips
Just a little inspiration, I have lost 120 pounds which has inspired me to go to school for personal training. I finally figured out what I want to do for the rest of my life, I'm in love with this.
These are the words of Bethany Bourque from St.Martinville, Louisiana about her amazing weight loss. She is 21 years old and has lost 120 pounds in the past 10 months.
My Health Was Not a Priority in College
"I was pretty healthy during high school. I ate right and exercised. Then I started college. I went for a year 40 hours a week for cosmetology. I didn't make my health a priority. One day I looked at myself in the mirror and I was tired of being overweight, tired of not finding cute clothes to wear, tired of not having energy, and just like that I changed my whole life.
"I started by eating healthy, I track every single thing I eat, I work out pretty much everyday. I do Zumba which is my favorite cardio exercise. These things helped me to go from being 300 pounds to now being 180 pounds. They also helped me to go from having no self respect for myself, to having so much respect for myself and others. I let food control me until I started to control it. I eat to live and not live to eat.
"Then I started to fall in love with the feeling I had when I would see that scale go down and the way it made me feel is so unexplainable. So now I have decided to go to college for personal training to help others feel this amazing feeling. I did this all on my own, no diet pills, no starving myself, no crazy "diets". How did you decide to lose weight and went for it with such a determination?
I started gaining weight while in college 3 years ago. The inspiration to lose weight came from a change of mind. You have to really want to change your lifestyle. If you don't want it bad enough then you won't be able to lose weight. It wasn't easy. I did cry a lot with some of my struggles, but it only made me stronger. I count all my calories and try to stay under 1200 a day while working out 6 days a week. I also do low carb, and eat 50g of carbs a day.
Bethany's Top 3 Weight Loss Tips
My top three tips would be the following.
1. Find someone that will be there for you to help motivate you through this.
2. Working out not only makes you feel amazing but it makes you look amazing
3. Track everything you eat no matter what it is, because calories do matter.
And my last thing would be to never give up, if you really want it then go for it and do it.
