I have tried broiling Brussels Sprouts and they didn't turn out well. Thus, I went to Facebook and tried searching for some quick ideas from those who are on a Keto diet.

Each paragraph is a separate way of cooking brussels sprouts

Slice up Brussels Sprouts or quarter them up (cutting off the stem). Then toss with some oil and garlic and roast in the oven. People say this recipe is really good.

Here is another one. Cut them up. Cook your brussels sprouts in a skillet with bacon and onion, salt and pepper until they are as soft as you like them. Some people also say Microwave, drain, add butter and cheese, but I don't like this idea. I don't like using the microwave at all. Do you?

You can also Pan fry them. Cut side down in bacon grease. Add salt paper and garlic. Some chefs say it's delicious. if you don't have regular garlic you can use garlic powder. However, I always prefer fresh garlic.

Speaking of bacon. Wrap each one in half a piece of bacon and bake until bacon is done.

Shave brussels sprouts with a mandolin. Use two pieces of bacon cut up, fry with garlic and shallot, add Brussels sprouts and finish with some fresh parmesan cheese. It's very good.

Another way to cook brussels sprouts is to wrap them in aluminum foil with butter and teriyaki sauce. Just watch so you don't make it very bitter.

Roasted brussels sprouts are good too. Roast them. They should be roasted with olive oil. Quarter them before roasting. Use salt and pepper. You can simply BBQ brussels sprouts. Some people roast in over with garlic powder, onion powder, and olive oil.

Turn your oven on bake instead of broil. Clean and cut your Brussels sprouts. Coat and toss in olive oil, pink Himalayan salt, and pepper. Add chopped up raw bacon. Bake for about 20 minutes turning them a couple of times. The last 10 minutes add a handful of walnuts.

"I boil them for 10 mins, cut them in half, then fry them with bacon and onions. Sometimes I add mushrooms and parm cheese," writes Jennifer on Facebook Keto Diet group. She says it's very delicious. Some people love to add cauliflower.

For good brussels sprouts recipes, you can also look on Pinterest. Some Keto diet followers report finding brussels sprouts keto recipes that included garlic, thyme, and mozzarella cheese.

"I am addicted to Brussels sprouts. I do roast mine, or put in the food processors and chop up and cook in the frying pan with olive oil and garlic until brown. I then top with cheese or any choice. Many times this is my only item for supper. Fresh is best or from the garden section in the grocer but I have used the frozen ones like this," writes Joy in Keto and Low Car Recipes group on Facebook.

"Recently I took 2 bags of fresh brussels sprouts, added to boiling water and boiled for 10 min. In the meantime preheated the oven to 400, took the sprouts out of the water and placed them on a baking sheet with a lip, seasoned the sprouts with olive oil, salt pepper garlic, then smash each one (honestly, whatever you want to season with). Cover with shredded parmesan and bake. I am not sure how long I cooked them for, but I just kept an eye on them. Once the cheese had melted I put the broiler on high for about 8 min to get a little color on the cheese. They are delicious and if you are on a low carb diet the net carbs are low," writes Joy in the above-mentioned group discussion.

This one is fresh with lemon juice. Use lemon juice, ACV, oi of choice. Sautee your brussels sprouts and enjoy. Add bacon as needed.

Here is a real simple brussels sprouts recipe.

  • Blanch them for 2 minutes to get a little soft.
  • Fry up bacon. Use the same pan. Add salt, pepper, fresh garlic or garlic powder to taste.
  • Bacon makes everything taste good!
  • Sauté in butter, low medium heat.
  • Crumble up the bacon and serve.
  • Crumbly blue cheese if you like it.

Alternatively, you can slice brussels sprouts in halfs or quarter size depending on how big they are. Omit the bitter core. Stir fry fresh garlic, oil, red onion, no more than 1 tablet spoon water if needed. Too much water makes more bitter I have read. Some people may not like it when boiled.

Try this brussels sprouts recipe with chicken broth. "I put mine in the instant pot with some chicken broth. Then I drained them and placed them in a pie pan with some Parmesan and mozzarella and garlic, salt, and pepper until the cheese was slightly browning," writes Chasity.

Here is how to make brussels sprouts crispy. Slice up and put on a baking tray. Add some coconut oil or ghee or butter and bake. They will go crispy and yummy.

If you bake them with some bacon grease and salt and pepper they will forever change you.
Roasted brussels sprouts is the way to go. I can eat them all day just roasted plain with some fresh pepper. You can also make "chips" by trimming them and roasting the leaves until crunchy similar to kale chips.
1/2 steamed, with fried bacon bits, then roasted with onion and cheese over the top until browned.
Try brussels sprouts with balsamic vinegar. I do braised brussels sprout with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, mustard oil, dried basil, and butter. Never thought I would love them, but they really are good.
Roasting or sauteeing is definitely the best. My favorite is sauteed with Dijon mustard.
