Some Vegans Are Septic About Haagen-Dazs Non-Dairy Ice Cream

However, some of the chatter in the vegan community today is that they are skeptical of Haagen-Dazs motivations.

"Great news for the diary industry, but personally, I don't support an industry that diversifies for greater profit while still using torture and violent slaughter as it's mainstay," wrote one vegan activist on Facebook's The Vegan Spark-Animal Rights Activism Group. "Same here. I only buy vegan options by non vegan companies if they are BOGO. And always have animal eaters try them so hopefully they'll at least make a few changes," replied another vegan activist.

Personal, I think this is a very good news and a welcome move by Haagen-Dazs. Millions of people can use these vegan ice cream options and develop a taste for them. That's how things start. People don't become vegan over night, do they?
