About Me
- Bio
Timothy Boyer has a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology with training and experience in genetics and genetic counseling. Timothy spent his graduate years creating transgenic mice to unravel the molecular and genetic basis of sex-determining events during the pre-implantation stages of embryo development. While in graduate school, Timothy also began writing for newspapers as a science columnist. Timothy currently works as a freelance health and science writer and teaches anatomy. His interest in archaeology and continual study in a broad range of scientific fields leads him to believe that a life of study is a life examined; and therefore, a life well spent.
