#1 Food diary
I totally agree that a food diary helps you to lose weight. Of course it is only as good as the person doing the journaling. It makes you conscience of what you are eating so maybe you won't eat it if you think about it. I feel good when I look back to see how "good" I was all day. Then, I know if I can have that extra piece of cheese.
#2 I dont think alot of people
I dont think alot of people will be honest about food diary.
#3 Food Diary is only part of the solution
O.K., you keep a food diary. Other than a reminder of what you are consuming, what else is it good for? Our society is "slowly" beginning to understand that you have to have something else to work with, in our quest to lose FAT. Yes, it is FAT that we really want to lose. And guess what......................a scale can't tell the difference. In order to be successful in FAT loss you have to manage your caloric intake. It is all about ENERGY BALANCE. You must identify your personal Resting Metabolic Rate requirements so that you not only are not eating TOO MUCH, but just as important.................you are eating ENOUGH.
#4 KEEPING A FOOD DIARY COULD IMPROVE WEIGHT LOSS
kEEPING A DIARY, WILL ENABLE YOU TO SEE HOW MUCH JUNK OR GOOD FOOD YOU EAT IN A DAY / WEEK / MONTH, AND THEN YOU ARE ABLE TO CHANGE YOUR EATING HABIT / DIET ACCORDINGLY, SO THAT YOU CAN MAYBE CUT DOWN ON THE AMOUNT OF FAT / SUGAR ETC., IN YOUR DIET.
