for eMaxHealthThe women of EHE International are donning their red dresses again to educate the public about heart disease. 31 women from EHE International sat for a photo shoot amidst the breathtaking golden arches of Ellis Island in the Registry Room, these ladies in red celebrate the battle against the number one killer of American Women -Heart Disease.
"Heart disease is the number one killer of American women, affecting more women than the next six causes of death combined," stated Deborah McKeever, president of EHE International. "Despite the educational campaigns that have been undertaken by several health care organizations in recent years, only 13% of American women identify heart disease as their most serious health threat." McKeever continued, "That is why we at EHE decided to launch our annual educational campaign to raise awareness of heart disease and what can be done to prevent it."
"One of the most important steps that women can take in order to properly care for their hearts is learning their current heart disease risk level," added McKeever. "Wearing a red dress is not just about being fashionable, you will also be helping to make a powerful statement that America will win the war against women's #1 killer."
