You can crush that too—it’s also a myth!” says Dr. Oz as he tells viewer how to get rid of your cellulite with these tips.
Here are a few methods women try to take the dimple out of their butt and thigh regions:
• Vacuuming over the puckered skin
• Rubbing citrus fruit into the skin
• Taking a mud bath infused with electrolytes
• Taking a seaweed bath
• Rubbing apple cider vinegar on the skin
According to Dr. Oz, all of these methods are nothing more than myths that have no scientific backing to them. But where there are myths, there is truth also. One truth that many heavier women do not know about is that even skinny women can have cellulite too.
“The truth is that skinny women have cellulite for a reason. They actually have the same exact anatomy that heavier women have,” says Dr. Oz who explains to viewers that beneath the layers of your skin is a fibrous net of tissue that holds the fat in place beneath the skin. This netting is what keeps skin looking smooth. However, as we age, undergo hormonal changes, and even based on our individual genetics, that fibrous netting begins to weaken and break resulting in fat cells that begin to bulge up against the overlying layers of skin producing the bumpy, puckered, dimpled skin we all know as cellulite.
“Those little lumps and bumps will remain unless you strengthen those fibers,” says Dr. Oz.
Cellulite Removing Tips
So, how can you strengthen those fibers and make the cellulite go away? Not by exercising Dr. Oz tells his viewers.
