In today’s episode of The Dr. Oz Show titled “Burn Fat Faster: 5 Fastest Fat Burners,” Dr. Oz tells his viewers that he has done his research and with special guest Lindsey Duncan has found the most effective and safe fat burning weight loss pill available that is backed by a recent research study announced at a major scientific meeting in the U.S. earlier this year.
What makes this episode of The Dr. Oz Show so unique is that typically his fat-burning advice is a combination of atypical natural foods with claimed fat burning or metabolism increasing properties that sometimes are not so easy to find in a grocery store.
And, when the recommended fat burning foods are easily available, they often require some food preparation time and effort to make the dish more palatable.

Aside from foods, Dr. Oz is also known to alert viewers to the occasional nutritional supplement that is reported to burn fat, but not always clearly substantiated with credible research or adequately presented with contraindications and warnings that should be addressed for some consumers.
However, recent research news released earlier this year appears to have shown that there may really be such a thing as a miracle diet pill. At the 243rd National Meeting & Exposition of the American Chemical Society (ACS), researchers revealed a startling finding from a weight loss study that showed how that an extract from green (unroasted) coffee beans resulted in significant weight loss in obese participants in a short period of time.
Therefore, today’s episode may become the first instance on The Dr. Oz Show where a scientifically credible weight loss pill that is both safe and effective is promoted on the show. The key word here being “safe” as other instances of effective weight loss pills such as Qnexa have been promoted on the show, but its safety and that of other diet pills/supplements remain in question by the FDA for public use.
Today’s show presents special guest Lindsey Duncan, ND, CN—an Alternative Health Specialist and Celebrity Nutritionist—who is in agreement with Dr. Oz that the fat burning miracle pill known as “green coffee bean extract” is just the weight loss pill the public has been waiting to swallow for years.
The promise (and attractiveness) of the green coffee bean extract aside from its fat burning properties is that it does not require any change in diet or addition of an exercise program. Rather, just pop a pill twice a day, about 30 minutes before breakfast and dinner with a large glass of water and wait for the fat-burning results to kick in.
The green coffee bean extract magic is believed to work through a natural chemical compound called “chlorogenic acid” that is present in unroasted coffee beans. Because chlorogenic acid breaks down when coffee beans are roasted, the active ingredient has to come from green unroasted coffee beans meaning therefore, that taking it in the form of brewed coffee just won’t work.
According to Mr. Duncan, “They key ingredient in the green coffee bean is a very important natural active compound called chlorogenic acid. Chlorogenic acid works by inhibiting the release of glucose in the body, while at the same time boosting the metabolism or the “burning” of fat in the liver. These two mechanisms work together to inhibit the absorption of fat and eliminate weight gain.”
While you can consume green coffee beans, the bitter taste will more than likely prevent a second or third attempt at getting your fat burning dose of chlorogenic acid. Dr. Oz’s special guest Lindsey Duncan advises viewers on the show and on his website to get your green coffee bean chlorogenic acid in capsule form making sure that the brand you buy does not contain any fillers or binders.
“Read the label carefully, look under ‘other ingredients’ and make sure it does NOT contain cellulose, stearates, silica or any additional fillers. I do not recommend the tablet form,” he states on his website.
His online recommendation is “Pure Green Coffee Bean” 400mg vegetarian capsules by the manufacturer Pure Health or Genesis Today’s "100% pure Green Coffee Bean capsules," which can be found in health food stores.

Dr. Oz doesn't recommend actual manufacturers of products does he? I thought he just recommended ingredients. I did some research about all of the ingredients that he's recommended over the past few years for weight loss and I found one called PaleoTrim that includes a lot of them all in one pill. Check it out. Am I taking this now? Yep. Is it a magic pill? Nope, I exercise and eat much healthier than I used to. Is this spam? LOL, no I'm a real person.

Cancers are spreading like a wild fire, I honestly suggest not to take anything. Don't feed your body anything that is not made right before your eyes. Losing weight is not easy, there is no such thing as a miracle pill. Just avoid eating too much and do some home exercise. There is a lot you can find in YouTube that you can do at home, while your baby is asleep or while the laundry is on. Just eat less and work out. In 5 weeks you might lose less than you expected but hey at least its safe.

why say something don't work if your haven't tried it? nothing works for everyone that's why we all are different one fat burners that may not work for u will work for someone else, but in order to accuse or call it crap try it or just shut the hell up!

I have been taking the Green Coffee Extract for 3 days and I take 800mg twice a day and I still stay hungry and have not lost any weight so im getting real upset over the fact that everyones saying you will lose weight in a day or so . I do feel better since I started taking it but no weight loss and I don't feel full like everyones talking about and im not that bad over weight, I just need to lose about 30 pounds.So will it hurt me if I take 800mg 3 times a day ?

any "fat burner" needs to used to enhance results from excersize, not taken outright. it is not safe to take any more than the suggested amount, and abusing pills, no matter what type, will hurt your body in the long run

Don't beat yourself up over this supplement. There is very little research done on it. Only 16 people in this 'remarkable' study that they are hyping the hell out of. As well, Dr. Lindsay owns both of the companies that he is recommending you buy the pills from and 1600 mg is his invented dosage, it does not relate to the study at all! This is just more fake hype for a product that probably doesn't work. I am sorry.

You are only supposed to take 400mg 2-3 times a day max =/ That may be your issue with the cravings.
