Tassimo, the hot beverage system that delivers the most diverse assortment of coffeehouse-quality beverages at home, today announced the addition of Gevalia Morning Roast and Twinings Chai Tea Latte to its portfolio. These two new beverages will extend the Tassimo offering to more than 30 varieties.
Tassimo is responding to consumers' desire for a larger cup of coffee in the morning by launching a 12-oz. serving of Gevalia Morning Roast. A flavorful dark roast, Gevalia Morning Roast is a popular breakfast blend variety and retails at $7.99 (14 servings). In addition, Tassimo users will be able to easily enjoy an authentic Chai Tea Latte, one of the most requested beverages at coffeehouses, in the convenience of their own home. Twinings Chai Tea Latte is made from a fusion of black tea, exotic spices of cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and ginger, and milk creamer to create a wonderfully creamy and rich texture. The suggested retail price for Twinings Chai Tea Latte is $8.99 (8 servings). Gevalia Morning Roast is now available in fine specialty and department stores, as well as online at www.tassimodirect.com. Twinings Chai Tea Latte will be available at these locations and www.tassimodirect.com at the end of May.

Tassimo Cappuccino Foaming Milk Creamer and Tassimo Latte Milk Creamer are now also available via www.tassimodirect.com. Both milk creamers, which retail for $4.99 (8 servings), enable consumers to complement their Tassimo hot beverages with a real warm frothy or creamy layer made from two-percent milk.
Tassimo is the only machine that prepares an assortment of coffeehouse-quality hot beverages, including coffee, tea, espresso, crema, hot chocolate, creamy latte and frothy cappuccino. In addition to Gevalia Morning Roast, current Gevalia offerings include Signature Blend (Regular and Decaffeinated), Signature Crema, Cappuccino (Regular and Decaffeinated), Latte, Espresso and English Breakfast Tea. The Tassimo Twinings offering also includes Earl Grey Tea and Green Tea.
Tassimo has two key components: the Tassimo brewing machine and proprietary T DISCs. Through the Tassimo smart technology, developed and designed by Kraft Foods, the machine's microprocessor reads the bar code printed on the T DISC label and automatically calculates the correct water amount, temperature and brewing time. All of the brewing happens inside the T DISC, which contains a precisely measured amount of coffee, tea, chocolate or real milk creamer and is sealed to protect the flavor inside. Most beverages are ready in about a minute.
