Food Stamps And Cash
Division of Family Assistance Electronic Benefit Transfer, the delivery system for Food Stamps and cash assistance, is now available online for beneficiaries.
Individuals (www.EBTedge.com) can access the website with their EBT card information and a secure Personal Information Number (PIN) and can retrieve current account balance information and usage history. Since the introduction of EBT cards in 1997, cardholders have been able to access account information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling 1-888-997-9777 and beneficiaries can still utilize this method.
"We are committed to ensuring that people who get services from DHHS can do so in a simple, customer-friendly manner that offers them the greatest flexibility possible," said John Stephen, DHHS Commissioner. "This is one more step to improve our access and the efficiency of services the Department offers. We live in a web-based world and our services are moving to reflect that reality."
In addition to Cardholder web Access, EBT Retail Merchants can now also obtain their information through the web at www.ebtretailerinfo.jpmorgan.com. Once the Merchant has registered at www.EBTedge.com, the merchant can easily obtain account information, notices, hints and other resources.
