CDF: 9.4 Million Children Without Health Insurance In USA

Susan Gates, the general counsel of the Children's Defense Fund says that it's very important to find ways to provide affordable health insurance coverage to 9.4 children that are without health insurance today in the United State of America. One in eight children in USA has no health insurance and every 41 second a child is being born in this country without health insurance.

Gates is an association dedicated to advocacy for children. She talks with kaisernetwork.org Managing Editor Jill Braden Balderas about CDF's drive to see that all children in America have health insurance and access to medical care. Gates says affordable health insurance coverage is uneven from one state to another so the federal government needs to create an "equal playing field."
