Should menopausal women take hormone replacement therapy?
When a woman enters menopause her estrogen level drops dramatically. The main clinical consequences of estrogen deficiency are hot flashes, vaginal dryness, and bone loss; these can be prevented by treatment with hormone therapy (HRT).
