The End Of Botox? FDA Says It Can Kill

Safety reviews of Botox and Botox Cosmetics have linked this beauty procedure to respiratory failure and death, following treatment of a variety of conditions using a wide range of doses.

Myobloc review has also been linked to the same adverse effects according to FDA report released today on FDA.gov.

As Oscar night is coming up, many Hollywood celebrities may have been considering Botox treatment, however don't even think about it as Botox can kill. However, keep in mind that the problems seem to be related on dosage not the defect of the product.

Here is what FDA says on Botox Cosmetic Treatment

"In an early communication based on the FDA's ongoing safety review, the agency said the reactions may be related to overdosing. There is no evidence that these reactions are related to any defect in the products."

While FDA is not advising health care professionals to discontinue prescribing these products, the agency is currently reviewing safety data from clinical studies submitted by the
