Incidents Prompt Aspen 3-in-1 with Wooden Mattress Support Recall

Simplicity has announced that 14 child related incidents have prompted Aspen 3-in-1 with Wooden Mattress Support recall.

Some cribs were shipped with the wrong size wood screws. The screws could back out causing the mattress support to fall and could pose a possible suffocation hazard.

There has been 14 incidents reports and the number of recalled units of Aspen 3-in-1 with Wooden Mattress Support is about 104,000.

MSRP: Approximately $129

Models Affected: Aspen 3 in 1 Crib with a wooden mattress support sold under the Graco Trademark, model number 8740KCW SC located on the envelope attached to the mattress support.

Aspen cribs with metal mattress supports are not part of this recall.

Solution

Remedy: Consumers with wooden mattress supports will receive a free retrofit kit.
