iROW Workout

iTRAIN and Concept2 have launched the third in a series of downloadable indoor rowing workouts. "iROW and Ripped" offers users an inspiring "virtual workout partner" to keep them motivated -- just the boost they need to get in shape and lose weight.

In iROW and Ripped, personal trainer Nick Narvaez leads users through a sustained, 30-minute calorie-burning rowing workout. His energizing voice offers users encouragement and tips on how to row correctly.

The personal training session doesn't end with rowing, though. iROW and Ripped includes a strength training component and valuable nutritional information in a segment that explores how the right foods fuel the body in preparation for exercise.

"We are thrilled to partner with Concept2 on the latest iROW workout, as rowing is one of the best-kept secrets around," said iTRAIN co-founder Grace Lazenby. "Rowing works every muscle of the body, making it an ideal exercise for people who want to get lean and lose weight."

iROW and Ripped also makes it easy to fit a workout into a busy schedule, wherever and whenever, because it can be downloaded to a personal computer or MP3 player. In a world in which weight control is not only an aesthetic concern, but also increasingly a health concern, a portable workout may be just the trick to stay on track.

"Concept2 is committed to spreading the word about the health benefits of rowing. We know that weight loss isn't easy. Fad diets come and go, but the only real, lasting solution is to change your lifestyle -- with regular exercise and healthy eating habits," said Meredith Haff of Concept2. "iROW and Ripped is a fun and challenging way to meet those fitness goals: it's a terrific motivator and it's one of the most affordable personal trainers around."
