DHEC final report on 2006 S.C. West Nile virus season Issued

During the 2006 West Nile virus season in South Carolina, 51 West Nile virus positives were identified, the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control reported.

"That brings the season's total to one human case, 35 mosquito pools and 15 birds," said Chris Evans of DHEC
