Are you afraid of pregnancy or childbirth? Would you like to share you positive and negative views about this?

A psychology researcher from the University of the West of England wants to interview women about their positive and negative views about pregnancy and childbirth. She would like to find out more about women's expectancies of pregnancy and childbirth and what experiences might give rise to both positive and negative feelings.

Researcher Mel Stephens points out that her research interviews and results will be conducted confidentially and she hopes her findings will in the future help inform the understandings of health practitioners and psychologists supporting women. She said, “I want to find out about women's expectancies of pregnancy and childbirth and what experiences might cause fears."

"I'm interested to learn how these fears impact on lives of women in terms of their relationships and reactions from others.”
