James T Blakeman Sausages Withdrawn

James T Blakeman and Co. Ltd. has withdrawn some of its sausages because they contains wheat (gluten) and sulphites that are not mentioned on the label. The product is a possible health risk for anyone who is allergic or sensitive to wheat, gluten or sulphites. The Agency has issued an Allergy Alert.

If you are allergic or intolerant to wheat, gluten or sulphites you are advised not to eat this product.

The withdrawn products are:

* Blakemans thin natural pork sausages (454g)
* Blakemans thin collagen pork sausages (454g)

All date codes between 29 September 2009 until 8 October 2009

James T Blakeman & Co. Ltd. has withdrawn the sausages and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the withdrawal. Notices will be displayed in all stores, explaining to customers why the product has been withdrawn. No other Blakeman products are known to be affected.
